President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on Monday expressed the need for peace.

Zelenskky said he is willing to work with the United States and Europe to ensure peace.

Posting on X, the Ukrainian president said there is need to end the war with Russia.

According to Zelenskyy: “We continue our work with partners. We have already had talks and other steps to come soon.

“It is very important that we try to make our diplomacy really substantive to end this war the soonest possible.

“We need real peace and Ukrainians want it most because the war ruins our cities and towns. We lose our people. We need to stop the war and to guarantee security.

“We are working together with America and our European partners and very much hope on US support on the path to peace. Peace is needed as soon as possible.”

Recently, Zelenskyy visited the US and England in a bid to pull support aimed at ending the war between his country and Russia.

Zelenskyy was meant to have signed a mineral deal with US that could have paved the way for a peace deal with Russia.

However, the move failed due to a heated argument between Zelenskyy, Donald Trump, and Vice President JD Vance.
