A crèche was on Thursday shutdown by the South African authorities after a video of a teacher beating a sick little girl hit the internet .

In the video, the teacher is seen repeatedly hitting the girl on the head and slapping her on the buttocks.

“Why are you vomiting? Why?” the teacher is also heard repeatedly asking the child in the video.

The school was later traced to Carletonville and the 40-year-old teacher was arrested and dragged to court on assault charges.
