An Air Force officer in mufti was, on Tuesday, rescued from the hands of some policemen assaulting him in Abuja.
The policemen were said to be driving recklessly along Wuse 2, when the Air Force officer obstructed their movement.
Not knowing his identity, he was dragged out of his car, slapped several times, manhandled and pepper sprayed.
The assault would have continued, but for the intervention of a soldier, Umar, who was driving by and mobilized his colleagues to the scene to rescue the victim and deal ruthlessly with the errant policemen.
