is she going to wake up?”
“when is she going to wake up?”
“please answer me”
“sir please calm down she is fine, she just fainted, she would be awake very soon”
Conversations Shola could hear in her semi sleep state, conversation that somewhat felt like a dream, she struggled to sap into consciousness and when she opened her eyes found Mr Eze staring at her with grave concern
“are you okay?”
“yes sir”
And just like that everything began to come back to her, her plan to get away from this sick man, she wondered what would be her next step, what could she do to get herself away from this man,
where she was wasn’t a standard hospital like the ones her parent take her too whenever she was sick, she was sharing the room with another patient, who looked like she had giving up on life, the place looked more like a ghetto living arrangement the face me I face you one room setting
The nurse attending to her looked like she couldn’t be trusted, her nonchalant attitude towards her patients was disgusting, telling her about her situation didn’t seem like a good idea, she literally looks like a witch
“what is wrong with you? Are you mad?” the nurse asked shola with a look of disgust on her face. Shola not knowing how to respond to that question just shook her head
“so why do you want to kill yourself, you children of no-a-days, if I was your father I would beat the hell out of you omo oshi” she gave Shola a look as if she was wishing she had died “see as the poor my was busy worrying about you, didn’t you think about the poor man?”
“he is not my father”
“wha what did you say?”
“I said he is not my father”
“if he is not your father then who is he” the woman said with a surprised and confused look on her face
“he used to be my lesson teacher but he kidnapped me and brought me here”
The nurse being shocked by her response said “that doesn’t make sense, I mean no kidnapper will bring you to the hospital, they would have left you in the bush to die or immediately used you for ritual”
“it’s the truth!!” shola screamed to her defence
Mr Eze rushed into the room looking scared and disoriented “what’s going on here” he said trying to calm himself down
“she said you’re not her father”
“err, err that is not true, she is a troubled child, we just came back from the psychiatric hospital in Lagos,
I thought the treatments were working but it seems they aren’t working” MrEze said while he pulled out aa card that showed shola to be a psychiatric patient
“I’m so sorry sir” the nurse said all sympathetic
“her mother is dead and I’ve been struggling with this alone” Mr Eze said with tears falling down his eyes
“that thing is fake Shola screamed!” noticing that the picture of her on that card was the exact same picture on her school ID card
“sir I don’t mean to be rude but why don’t you take her to church, it might be a spiritual thing and I’m sure if you take it to God in prayers he will answer you” the nurse said with tears almost dripping from her eyes
“I will try that, thank you very much ma”
“ha no problem sir, the Lord is your strength”

[Episode 10]
“Dear lord I know I’m a sinner and I don’t deserve your blessings but God have mercy on me and save me from this mess, help find my way back home and escape from the grip of this awful man.
and lord if you can do this for me I would serve you till the day I die and when I grow up I will set up a foundation to stop kidnapping from this country, in Jesus name I pray, amen” Shola prayed on her knees as tears rolled down her cheek.
Ever since the confrontation about the phone, Mr Eze has been on his guard not letting Shola out of his sight and on the counter Shola had been on the monitoring waiting for him to slip and leave her with the phone.
The house has been quite for the past few days with little or no words flying around.
So shola knew she had to come up with a plan if she was ever going to get out of here, first off she had to figure out where exactly she was, and then figure out how to get to the phone and instead of a call this time she would send a text message to her grandma,

“your home is not in Lagos”
“but what if Mr Eze doesn’t have any airtime credit?” she thought to herself, but first thing first how was she going to figure out where she was?
Mr Eze never let her out of the house, Mr Eze didn’t leave the house either, he had stalked he house with enough food that there wasn’t any reason to go out, so the question is what is she going to do to get her out of the house, she knew she had to think of something fast cos she couldn’t bear another day living with this man.
She slowly walked to the kitchen counting every step has she moved, desperate times calls for desperate measures she thought to herself, as she got into the kitchen she scanned for Mr Eze and found him sitting in the living room and staring back at her,
she turned around trying to avoid his stare, walking towards the knife in the sink she whispered under her breathe “God please save my life” she took the knife and slight her wrist, blood gushed out as she screamed in pain
“what happened?!!” Mr Eze screamed in fear
Shola just stood there crying as she watched her blood begin to form into a puddle
“what have you done?!”
“do you want to kill yourself?!”
“my God you’re really bleeding!” Mr Eze said has he noticed the puddle of blood on the ground
“what exactly is wrong with you!!!”
“I need to get you to the hospital”
Shola smiled as she heard those words, trying to keep herself alert and not faint cos she was already feeling lightheaded
“why did this stupid girl behave like this? The closest hospital is at Mowe” Mr Eze blutted out of frustration has he picked her up from the ground and putting her in his car, she notice a number 14 on the wall of the house which she figured was the house,
“oh my God!” Mr Eze screamed as he noticed that she was soaking the chair, he quickly took a cloth and tied it round the hand trying to stop the bleeding
Mr Eze drove out as fast as he could, and checking Shola every two minutes, Shola also took note as they drove past an Owolodu street land mark, and as they drove past a car pack she heard a conductor scream “ 100 naira Ofada” and then they took a turn to the left and before she knew it they were at the hospital then all she could see was a bright light as she passed out.
