Operatives of a Bayelsa State Volunteer Security Outfit in collaboration with the community Vigilante group operating in Akenfa, Yenagoa, arrested a 24-year-old criminal that threatened a young girl and took her phone at about 8:40pm on Sunday, in Akenfa NNPC Street.
The victim, Miss Chioma Daminola who confirmed the incident to security agencies, said she was on her way home when two men accosted her and took her phone forcefully from her.
The suspects who had a locally made pistol in their possession asked Chioma to remain silent when she requested for her sim card.
The arrested suspect identified as Kelvin Isaiah from Akenfa disclosed the identity of his accomplice as Edward alias Seselo.
The effort has been made by the security outfit and the police division to arrest Edward who is at large with the stolen phone. The suspect has been handed over to the Nigerian Police, Akenfa Division.
