A Chronicle Of Hardwork (Part One)

Hi Guys, 

Okay, my name Is Hard Work and I will like to share my story with you –

Once upon a time, I used to live in a village called “POVERTY”; in this village, my life was very difficult but I always thank God for the gift of life even if I didn’t see my daily bread.

One day, a friend of mine that lives with me in the village of poverty, his name is “HOPE”, he advised me to get married. I wasn’t sure if he was normal because how could one think of marriage in this my village.

But I gave his advice a second thought and decided to get married; maybe things would change for better.

So I got married to a woman called “CONFIDENCE”; she was so beautiful and bold. We’re both suffering in the village of poverty.

One Day, Confidence called me and said; “Hardwork I know you are trying but don’t you think we need to move out from this village”? I laughed for a minute and replied; you see my wife, this village is where I was born and I don’t have any other place to go.

Confidence sighs! She said she heard about a city called “SUCCESS” and she also heard that there are lots of good things there.

She wants us to relocate to the city of success and move out from the village of poverty.

I don’t understand a single thing from what she said. Although I used to hear about the town of success but my friends in the village of poverty do tell me that the people living in the town of success are powerful and rich people.

I told my wife not to worry herself because only powerful people can go there.

My wife, confidence said to me; “My love, it is not until you are powerful, as long as you have me, nothing can stop you on your way to the city of success.

My wife could be right, I called my best friend; Hope to tell him about what confidence said and hope said I should listen to my wife which I did.

I made up my mind to go to the city of success.

On the day we’re set to start our journey to the town of success, it was raining heavily. Is this not an ominous sign? How could it rain on a day like this, maybe the gods don’t want me to go?

My wife said we should not mind the rain that our journey has started already.

She said we have a long way to go so we need to prepare ourselves like someone going to war. I was like why do we need to go through all these?

What if there is no space in the city of success? Confidence said, we will have to find out and even if there is no space, then we will create our own.

It sound like my wife is fully ready, so I don’t have a choice. We embarked on the journey. We haven’t walked for 2months, Confidence got sick; my wife was shaking and very weak.

What could be the problem? The woman that keeps me going got sick? What do I do?

I remember what my friend “Hope” told me that no matter what I shouldn’t give up. I tried to get help when we reach a small town called “RITUAL”, people living there have many good things, beautiful houses, cars but their story is that they died at a very young age.

I asked someone how they got their riches and he said they trade their lives for riches. Instead of using 50 years, they use 5 years with a lot of wealth.

I was scared? I asked another question which is: “will their family spend the rest of the money when they died? He said no, when they die, the wealth die too.

I was scared to death; confidence even said I should try it too. Eh try what?
