A friend of mine messaged me today with a statement that ended with “Things are not just working out for me man.”

These last few words got to me, and I was worried. I wondered Why?

Because I have had similar feelings.

As a freelancer, I have tried several approaches and systems with zero results, burning money along the way. It felt like God locked the window of grace against me. Every effort yielded zero results.

However, I began to take a different approach, keeping what works and removing what didn’t. Soon, the results started coming in.

You see, this experience taught me a valuable lesson- We Tend To Focus More On The Results Than The Process.

For example, let’s look at Messi or Ronaldo.

Every single game, they put in their best to score goals or at list register an assist. However, there are games where they record lots of shots on target but still end up with no goal to their name, not even an assist.

These little setbacks never stopped them from becoming the global stars that they are today.

So, if you are out there and you have a similar feeling to my friend, know this- You don’t control the RESULTS, but you are in total control of the PROCESS.

So long as you know that what you are doing is right, keep doing it.

Remember, Rome was not built in a day.

You must also learn from your mistakes along the way and make the necessary tweaks, and I assure you, the results will come.
