After the death of HRM Olateru Olagbegi, a new king had to emerged, and after so many contest HRM Ajibade Ogunoye iii became the candidate of the people.

In the history of Owo Kingdom, this is the most peaceful election ever, as the new HRM is loved by the people.

In attendance, we are the great Obas, High Chiefs, and His Excellency Rotimi Akeredolu, the Governor has shown great so much support all through the process.

HRM Ajibade Ogunoye iii still has his mother known as Yeyesa of Ogunoye ii alive, and as such she will be coming back to the palace, this has never happened in Owo history.
