There have been so much histories we all inherit from our fathers about our origins over the years.

Back in the days when our people have a mentality of marrying only someone from their tribe and religion, we realize that most of the children then knew so much about their tradition and also their origin.

The world is now a more complex place to live as we can see a Yoruba man marrying from an Igbo tribe or Hausa tribe as well as marrying someone from outside the country. No fuss tho!!!

This has played more role in uniting the world together hence bringing more peace to it but the big disadvantage there is the issue of forgetting what our real origin looks like.

Nigeria comprises of 3 major tribes mainly the Igbo, Hausa, and the Yoruba with Yorubas looking more like the ones with a complete and the most accepted tribe based on the unique and genuine history. Mainly based and settled in the western part of the country.

The Nigerian part of Yoruba land comprises today’s Ọyọ, Ọṣun, Ogun, Kwara, Ondo, Ekiti, Lagos as well as parts of Kogi state.

Regional capitals of Yoruba are as follows:- Ilẹ̀-Ifẹ̀ is the Cultural/Spiritual capital, Ibadan is Political capital, Lagos is Economic capital.

The Igbos have big personalities and are mostly seem as the commercial heart of the country. Great personalities and as well, the tribe which has so much branches under its tradition.

However, a lot seems to be hanging in between as doubts surrounds the history of the tribe.

Most of the stories that have been created to back up the history have in one way of the other questioned the originality of the widely accepted history hence leaving most Nigerians hanging in the questions of where the main origin of the Igbo tribe is.
