The All Progressives Congress (APC) has lamented the death of member, House of Representatives representing Magama/Rijau Federal Constituency of Niger State, Hon. Ja’afaru Iliyasu.
The party said it received the news of Hon. Iliyasu’s demise on Monday with shock and great sadness.
APC National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, in a statement on Tuesday, described the deceased as, “a gentleman and resourceful federal lawmaker who put national interest over any other interests”.
“The party condoles with his immediate family, the National Assembly, constituents, the people and government of Niger State.
“We pray Almighty Allah forgive Hon. Iliyasu’s shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus and gives us all the strength to bear the loss”
it added.
Meanwhile, the green chamber has adjourned sitting in honour of Iliyasu.
