A Jigawa State High Court II sitting in Dutse has sentenced a 40-year-old man, Yakubu Muhammad to life imprisonment for raping two primary school girls.
The convict, who is a native of Kachi village in Dutse Local Government was accused of luring two minors into his house and had unlawful sexual intercourse with them.
The Prosecutor told the court that. the incident occurred in the year 2017 where the accused who is a viewing center owner deceived the victims into the center on their way to school and had a carnal knowledge with them.
presiding Judged Justice Ahmed Isa Gumel said the accused person was proved guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
“All the evidences and witnesses have proved that the accused person is guilty of the offence,” he said.
He said the offence is criminal offence and is contrary to section 283 of the state penal court.
Justice Gumel, therefore, sentenced him to life imprisonment so as to serve as deterrent to others in view of the rising cases of rape in the state.
