The battle of who prepares the best Jollof rice in West Africa seems to have taken a twist, as Senegal joins the fight.
For years now, Ghanaian’s and Nigerians have battled on social media, for the throne of the best Jollof rice.
Well, it all seems to have taken a new twist now as a lady declared on social media that Senegal makes the best Jollof around.
Seeking the fury of her West African neighbours, @DanicaSamuel wrote;
Ah, I finally tried Senegalese jollof, and let me tell you… I don’t want to hear another word from you guys (Ghana/Nigeria).
As expected, this comment was not taken kindly, as Ghanaians and Nigerians stormed her TL to comment.
See some reactions below;
@NiiDbahdguy: This is “lof rice”, the “jol” in jollof gives the tomato colour, which clearly is absent in this mixture.
@kush_missy: Do not ever in your life ever ever ever Disrespect Nigeria or gahna rice ever in your life.. ah see that thing my Dog won’t even eat
.. my picture is the real rice that went to Oxford..
@pmcs6996: The second picture looks like a construction site
@ellhah: @DanicaSamuel
Eek, this isn’t jollof. Let’s call African dishes by their actual cultural names instead of blanketing them in another country’s cuisine.
@swaggerlez1: Oluwa wetin irritate ?
This has all level of wrong cooked together and served in one plate
Where you trying to poison someone ? I hope I won’t be considered an accessory to murder for commenting on this post self
@TashRoyale: This is disgusting to be honest…. everything on that plate was highly disrespected
@dantezwale: Whatever pain you must have gone through to even consider this as Jollof…please know that the Lord loves you and suicide is not an option
@HolyWiggle: Sorry not an insult ohh probably ur camera but wait is this dog food or wat kuz am confused pls Ghana pepz u can at least argue with them and not me mbok kuz I cook jelloof rice too
