This heap of refuse is a permanent feature at the main front gate of the University of Lagos – a university that prides itself as the foremost “centre of excellence”, as you drive in from the St. Finbarrs road axis.

The access road itself is story for another day.

We need to constantly put our leaders on their toes and demand action.

This is primarily directed at the local government authorities.

I believe though that the university could leverage on its goodwill to keep the institution’s vicinity as decent as possible.
