Judge’s Absence Stalls Resumption Of Sowore’s Trial

The absence of Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday stalled the trial of Convener of the RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore and his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare.

The hearing has been adjourned till Wednesday.

According to NAN, the courtroom was empty aside from the court registrar and few workers carrying out their duties when the court was visited this morning.

On the cause list attendance, Sowore’s case with suit number: FHC/ABJ/CR/956/2019 was on item nine according to the serial number.

Recall that the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, had on December 24, 2019, ordered the release of Sowore from the custody of the Department of State Services.

The former National Security Adviser to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Sambo Dasuki, was also released by the DSS on the same day.
