Taskforce co-chairman Professor Garba, 6 others test positive for coronavirus in Kano

Coronavirus disease has hit the camp of a Taskforce Committee on COVID-19 which was established by Governor Ganduje to help contain the spread of the disease in Kano state.

Co-Chairman of the Taskforce Committee Professor Abdurazak Habib Garba was reported to have tested positive with six other members of the committee have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

Dailypost reports that he chairman of the Committee and Deputy Governor Kano State, Nasiru Gawuna, was said to have gone into self Isolation although after making contact with those tested positive.

The Taskforce Committee on COVID-19 was established by Governor Ganduje to find a remedy to the rapid spread of the disease.

The Committee, which has been working daily on how to stop the spread of the diseases, was also responsible for identifying most of those said to be positive.

With the development, the total number of those affected in Kano now stands at 27.

One of those said to be affected is a serving Commissioner in the government of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
