Many sections of the popular Marian Market in Calabar, the River state capital was in the early hours of Saturday, July 4, gutted by a terrible fire outbreak.
According to AIT Live, the inferno, the cause of which is yet unknown, damaged many shops housing properties worth millions of Naira in the commercial hub.
However, official details on the extent of damage caused by the flames have not been given, including a record of possible casualties from the fire.
