TwitterBan: Buhari Mandates Lai Mohammed, Fashola, Malami, Others To Dialogue With Twitter

The Federal Government’s team to engage with Twitter regarding its recent suspension of operations in Nigeria has been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who will lead the panel, confirmed the clearance in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday.

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Honourable Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Works and Housing, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, and other relevant government agencies make up the Federal Government’s team.

Following the indefinite suspension of its operations in Nigeria for conduct that could jeopardize the country’s corporate existence, Twitter wrote to President Buhari, asking to meet with him to discuss the suspension and establish a course ahead.
