You’ve Lost your Musical and Political Career – Man Tells Banky W

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to troll Nigerian musician and politician, Bankole Wellington, aka Banky W following his failure to win the House of Reps election seat for Eti-Osa constituency.

Banky who ran under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lost to the Labour Party candidate, Thaddeus Attah in the Saturday election.

This is the second time he will be losing the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency contest as he first ran with the Modern Democratic Party in 2019.

In reaction to his loss, a social media user, Oriretan Honour made fun of him, saying that his music career ended when Wizkid left his record label, Empire Mates Entertainment.

He also said Banky W faded from the movie scene when AY stopped producing the Wedding Party movie and he has lost election twice.

Oriretan urged him to pray against village people or he should let his wife, Adesuwa be the head of the house because hustling does not favour him.

He wrote; “Banky W, your music career went down when Wizkid left. Your acting career went down when AY ended Wedding Party. Joined politics, lost contest twice. Why not pray fervently against ‘village people’ or consider house-husband let Adesuwa be doing the job & footing bills? Hustling not for u.”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer, Prof Funmilayo Odukoya declared Labour Party winner of the poll for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency during a result collation at the Model Nursery and Primary School, Marwa, Lekki 1.
