As toxic as they might seem, these fanbases played a pivotal role in pushing Afrobeats to where it is today.
The major issue that appears very sensitive in this fan base wars is when the fans start banting beyond music, attacking people’s private life and families.
Asides from that major downside, the fan wars and the internet especially twitter and TikTok have been major push to Afrobeats.
In a country where the media come short on their duties, the fanbases served as the amplifier of our music, sound, culture and achievements. And even right now, media houses still depend on fans to amplify our artistes’ achievements.
It might seem bad to you, but the competition between the fanbases aided the growth of Afrobeats directly or indirectly.
