Teacher accused of sending schoolboy X-rated photos and video of herself using s*x toy

A teacher has been arrested after she allegedly sent a schoolboy X-rated images and videos of herself using a sex toy.

Rikki Lynn Laughlin, 25, is believed to have had sexual contact with a 16-year-old student at St James R-1 High School, Missouri, US, where she is employed.

The school is believed to have been where Laughlin first kissed the student.

Police reports indicate Laughlin had first contacted the boy on Snapchat before sending nude photographs and an explicit video to him.

Laughlin requested and received indecent images from the boy in return for a video where she used a sex toy.

Laughlin reportedly told the student to delete the images for fear she would end up in prison should people find out. The teen deleted some photos but allegedly showed others to members of the police.

An affidavit states Laughlin had invited the teen to her home while her husband was absent on October 14. The boy had instead “made excuses” to avoid meeting the teacher “because he did not feel comfortable”.

Laughlin later told police the teen made first contact with her, though she did not deny the relationship between the two.

She said: “I was not aware he was a minor until yesterday.”

The teacher, who has since been placed on leave from her workplace, will appear in court on November 20, with a bond set at $100,000.

Laughlin is accused of one count each of possession of indecent material, tampering with a witness, tampering with physical evidence, attempted statutory rape in the second degree, promoting obscenity in the first degree, and furnishing pornographic materials to a minor.

St James R-1 School District Superintendent Tim Webster said: “The District takes these matters seriously and reported allegations to appropriate outside agencies, including law enforcement.

“We have been actively cooperating with these agencies since the initial report.”
