A 32-Year-Old Nigerian woman in the UK, Temitope Elizabeth Soneye Iwute, has passed away during childbirth.

Iwute died shortly after earning her Master’s degree.

The Nigerians in the UK Community (NIUK Community), announced Temitope’s death in a statement on X. The community also announced the launch of a GoFundMe account to raise money to support her newborn baby and her family for her burial.

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to support the family of Temitope Elizabeth Soneye Iwute, a vibrant 32-Year-Old who tragically passed away during childbirth, leaving behind her precious newborn son.

Temitope had just completed her MSc at York St John University and was eagerly looking forward to her future. Now, we ask for your help to honor her memory and support her baby’s future.

Your donations will ensure a proper farewell for Temitope and provide love and stability for her son. Every contribution matters.”
