The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 31-Year-Old Man, Lukpata Micheal, for allegedly breaking into a house, destroying and stealing property worth N2.6m near the Igode area of the State state.
The spokesman for the command, CSP Omolola Odutola, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday.
According to Odutola, a report of a break-in was received on Monday, and properties worth N2.6mm were damaged and stolen.
“On Monday, February 3, 2025, at about 9:25 am, a man, identified as Orukpe Emmanuel reported that he received a call that his house in Eriyo Fakale Road near Igode, Ogun State had been broken into by one Lukpata Micheal, a male, 31- Years-Old.
Odutola noted that a preliminary investigation had commenced and the suspect arrested.
“Upon receiving the report the suspect was arrested by detectives, investigation is ongoing” She stated.
PUNCH Online reports that operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 35-year-old man, Idowu Kehinde, for allegedly stealing ceiling fans and aluminium windows from a mosque in the Adiyan area of Agbado, Ogun State.
According to the report, Kehinde allegedly scaled the fence of Mapara Moboluwaduro Central Mosque to gain access before carting away eight ceiling fans and four aluminum windows, valued at N520,000.
