Kano state government says it will not tolerate display of vulgar images on commercial tricycles, popularly called Adaidaita Sahu statewide.

The Executive Secretary, Kano State Censorship Board, Abba El-Mustapha gave the warning after receiving public complaints on offensive, vulgar messages and/or images displayed on some tricycles.

He warned that riders who neglect the warning will face the full wrath of the law.

El-Mustapha who spoke through the board’s spokesman, Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman on Friday added that the decision was aimed at upholding morality and ensure the law is not broken.

Adaidaita Sahu riders in Kano, mostly youths are fond of displaying images or messages to either beautify their rides or send messages, which some have found disturbing or immoral.
