Former Manchester United full-back, Danny Simpson has questioned the viability of three Man Utd players of three Red Devils players – Patrick Dorgu, Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot – under manager Ruben Amorim’s system in the Premier League.

Simpson also admitted that he felt sorry for Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko.

He spoke following Man United’s Premier League 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Recall that goals from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland gave Pep Guardiola’s side all three points against the Red Devils.

“The ball goes to Dorgu on the left. City let him have it [because they know] he is not going to hurt you,” Simpson told Stadium Astro.

“He will try and run up and down all day, but we have got nothing down the flanks. When Amad plays as a wingback he is going to get it, he is going to do something.

“But when you have got Dorgu or Mazraoui or Dalot, I just don’t think that can work in the Premier League.

“And trying to create chances… I felt sorry for Sesko today. He is trying but there is nothing he can do.”
