In a surprise move late Saturday night, the ongoing BBNaija reality TV show housemates, Thelma Lawson and Bright Morgan, were evicted from the House to the disbelief of their fellow housemates.

The show anchor, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, had made a surprise appearance in the House around 11pm shortly after the weekly Saturday Night party by the housemates.

After chatting with the housemates for a few minutes, he abruptly stood up to tell them that at least one of them would be evicted from the 10/10 edition of the reality TV show on Saturday night.

After a suspenseful moment, Obi-Uchendu announced the eviction of Thelma Lawson and shortly after Bright Morgan followed.

However, not all housemates are convinced the eviction is real. Kola and Jason voiced strong doubts, insisting the eviction might be fake.

Evictions are typically held on Sundays, but Big Brother occasionally alters the format to surprise both housemates and viewers.

Saturday night evictions, though rare, have historically intensified competition and shifted the dynamics in the house.

With only two weeks left for the most popular reality TV show in Nigeria, the anchor told the remaining housemates that the period was enough for them to make a difference. He added that the regular Sunday night eviction show will still be held on Sunday.

The eviction has heightened the competition, leaving the remaining contestants one step closer to the N150 million grand prize as the battle for the BBNaija crown intensifies.
