Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has spoken out on why she has chosen to remain silent despite repeated insults and death wishes allegedly directed at her family by fellow actress Lizzy Anjorin.
In a post shared via Instagram on Sunday, Iyabo explained that her decision to ignore the drama was intentional, noting that it has been difficult to hold her peace but she chose to focus on her family.
She revealed that her legal team is closely monitoring the situation and preparing the necessary steps to address it.
According to her, the past few months have been devoted to welcoming her grandson, supporting her daughter Priscilla through motherhood, and ensuring her family’s wellbeing.
“I’ve seen all your DMs, voice notes, and questions about my silence despite all the defamatory statements, insults, death wishes, and curses aimed at my family, especially my grandson. Honestly, I struggle to hold my peace, but sometimes silence is necessary. Who God has blessed, no one can curse,” she wrote.
Iyabo stressed that her lawyers are keeping records of all the allegations, reassuring fans that the matter will be addressed directly once she returns to Lagos.
The actress also expressed gratitude to her supporters for their messages and concerns, urging them to remain patient until the right time.
