Ayekooto Akindele, a chieftain of Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has slammed the lawmaker representing Virginia’s Second District in the United States’s Congress, Rep Riley M. Moore, for describing Nigeria as the deadliest country in the world.
DAILY POST reports that the US lawmaker, who has been raising concerns about the alleged Christian massacre in Nigeria, had in a post on X, said “Nigeria is the deadliest country in the world.”

In the post, the lawmaker urged the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, to facilitate the designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern, CPC.
He wrote, “Nigeria is the deadliest country in the world for Christians and the world stands by silently.
“That’s why I’m urging @SecRubio to designate Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern to unlock diplomatic levers to protect our brothers and sisters in Christ.”
Reacting, Ayekooto took to his X handle to rubbish the claim, alleging that the US lawmaker may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The APC chieftain insisted that no genocidal attack is ongoing in Nigeria as claimed by some foreign individuals.
“Gibberish! You’re talking nonsense. Stay away from drugs and if you’re not into drugs, don’t tweet while taking alcohol.
“But if you neither take drugs nor alcohol, yet you talk like this, then, you need a group prayer and let every pastor in America put their hands on your head, you need a serious deliverance! You’re not well!
“NIGERIA will triumph against your evil,” Ayekooto wrote on his X handle on Friday.
