United States Senator Ted Cruz has accused former President Joe Biden of turning a blind eye while radical Islamic terrorists allegedly slaughtered Christians in Nigeria.

Cruz made the statement on Wednesday via his official X handle, as he expressed gratitude to US President Donald Trump for designating Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern.”

The Republican lawmaker said, “Joe Biden turned a blind eye while radical Islamic terrorists slaughtered Christians in Nigeria.

“I’m very grateful to President Trump for designating it a Country of Particular Concern.”

Recall that Trump had, last weekend, designated Nigeria as a country of particular concern.

The US leader cited what he described as ongoing violence against Christians and the failure of the Federal Government of Nigeria to protect religious minorities.

However, the Nigerian government has strongly denied the persecution of any religious groups in the country.
