Former France midfielder, Patrick Vieira, has said that Manchester City’s home fixture against Arsenal will be crucial in determining the Premier League champions.

Vieira was speaking on Sky Sports, after the Gunners beat Chelsea 2-1 on Sunday evening.

Jurrien Timber scored the winner for the league leaders, after Piero Hincapie’s own goal cancelled out William Saliba’s opener.

The result means Arsenal remain five points in front of City ahead of the midweek games.

Vieira was happy to see his former team beat Chelsea even though they were not at their best.

He said: “These are key games that you have to win and it doesn’t matter if you play good or bad and today was one of those games for Arsenal.

“I think the key moment in this season is going to be when Arsenal and Man City play, because after that fixture I don’t see either team losing.”
