Afrobeat singer and son of legendary Fela Kuti, Made Kuti, has shared his opinion on marriage proposal and the process.

The 30-Year-Old revealed that he didn’t go down on his knees when he proposed to his wife, Inedoye Onyenso, because he believes that it should be a mutual decision and not one person begging on their knees.

The Grammy-nominated artiste stated this in an episode of the Timeless Podcast aired recently on Nix Network YouTube channel.

“I did not go down on my knees when proposing to my wife because I told her it was a mutual decision. We are not begging each other to be with each other,” he said.

Made Kuti and Inedoye Onyenso got married in a private ceremony in Lagos in November 2023.

The singer revealed that Inedoye was his former “school daughter”.

In 2025, Made tackled those who accused him and his wife, Inedoye, an Igbo, of “mixing blood” due to their different ethnic backgrounds.

The music star said ethnic bigotry is “slave mentality”.
