The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested former minister of Power, Mamman Saleh.

The former Minister was arrested in Rigasa, Kaduna State.

Mr Saleh, the former Minister of Power was convicted of fraud in the execution of the Mambilla Power Project and sentenced to 75 years in prison by the Federal High Court Abuja in absentia.

He had requested leave of the Court tio seek Medical attention befiore failing to appear again until his conviction.

The arrest of the former Minister was announced by the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede, at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

Mr Olukoyede disclosed that the former Minister was picked up around 3:30am alongside two people accused of helping him avoid authorities.
