The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Saturday, June 13, 2026, for the conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up examination for candidates who were unable to sit the earlier exam despite being biometrically verified.
The 2026 UTME was conducted between April 23 and April 29, 2026.
However, some centres reportedly experienced technical challenges that prevented a number of candidates from writing the examination.
In addition, some results were later withdrawn over examination infractions, while others who presented themselves for the exercise could not be verified biometrically.
All affected candidates, according to a statement by Dr Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor (PCA), have been scheduled for the mop-up examination.
He said the mop-up exercise represents the final phase of the annual UTME and provides an opportunity to address outstanding examination challenges involving eligible candidates.
Fabian said, “Candidates in this category are advised to begin printing their examination notification slips from Saturday, June 6, 2026.
“Affected candidates are hereby urged to print their examination notification slips, familiarise themselves with their centres, and make necessary arrangements ahead of the examination date, as there will be no further opportunity for any candidate to sit the 2026 UTME after this mop-up exercise.”
