Three years after “Canada” first appeared on I Am Dodo, Nigerian rapper Magnito revisits one of his most recognisable records in 2026 alongside Nigerian singer Teni and indigenous rapper Jeriq.
The new configuration gives the song a fresh three-way character, moving beyond the combinations Magnito previously explored with Snr Morris, Wizzy Flon, Olamide and other guests. Teni brings a melodic presence into the record, while Jeriq adds another rap voice to Magnito’s lead.
Rather than introducing an unrelated concept, the collaboration extends a song that has already taken several forms since 2023. The recurring title and familiar central idea remain the link between the different versions while each guest changes the personnel around Magnito.
That longevity is notable. The original became one of Magnito’s better-known releases and later earned a Best Rap Single nomination at The Headies, giving this 2026 edition an established history to build on.
