“Gimme Dat Ting” connects Nigerian Afrobeats heavyweight Davido with fast-rising Abuja artist NO11 on a new collaboration from Davido’s forthcoming sixth studio album Oriadé.
The pairing places two different generations of Nigerian pop in the same space, with Davido bringing his established presence alongside an artist whose profile has grown significantly through records such as “HOW FAR”.
Running for four minutes and twelve seconds, the track has enough room for both artists to contribute without feeling rushed, making the collaboration one of the early records introducing listeners to the direction of the upcoming album.
The link-up is particularly notable for NO11, who moves from a breakout period into a major collaboration with one of Afrobeats’ most recognisable names, while Davido continues opening his catalogue to newer voices within Nigeria’s current music scene.
