Now recording as Hotkeed, formerly known as Hotkid, the Nigerian street-pop artist extends his Zlatan-assisted 2026 single “Baba” with the August release “Baba (Imole Version)”.
The song retains the original record’s focus on ambition, money, loyalty and the complications that can follow success, giving Hotkeed another format through which to revisit its street-minded writing and memorable refrain.
Chech handles production on the Imole Version, which appears alongside sped-up and slowed interpretations in a three-track package dedicated entirely to “Baba”. The approach reshapes the existing material rather than introducing a separate composition.
It also arrives after “Baba” had already gathered significant attention following its June release with Zlatan, making the alternate versions a continuation of a record that has become one of Hotkeed’s notable 2026 releases.
