Nigerian singer and rapper Dotman returns with a reflective new single titled “Long Time Coming,” a record that looks back on the journey, patience, setbacks, and persistence behind his music career.

Rather than presenting success as something that happens overnight, Dotman uses the record to explore the process behind achieving personal goals. The title itself captures the central idea: some achievements require years of work, patience, sacrifice, and perseverance before they finally become reality.

The single follows September’s “Lagos Vibes”, keeping Dotman in solo territory as he maintains a steady flow of new music after a quieter period in his catalogue.

The phrase behind the title also connects with an idea Dotman touched on years earlier in “Giveaway”, where he reflected on paying his dues and working towards success. That history gives the new release an interesting link to his earlier writing.

Dotman already has a recognisable catalogue shaped by records such as “Akube”, “My Woman” and “Afro Girl”. His recent return to consistent releases gives this latest entry a ready audience while extending his 2026 momentum.
