As the rollout for OG Forever continues, Mr P introduces a more reflective side of the forthcoming project with “Chukwu Mee”, a new release from the Nigerian Afropop veteran.
The song follows “I Love You Because” and turns towards gratitude, with Mr P acknowledging God’s role through difficult moments and the progress that has followed them.
Its presentation is calmer than the dance-driven records often associated with his catalogue, leaning into a measured Afropop and highlife-influenced setting that gives the vocal performance and message enough room to lead.
That shift adds useful range to the OG Forever rollout, showing another side of Mr P beyond romance and upbeat material. His long-established audience also gives the record a strong base as anticipation continues to build around the project.
