A familiar name behind some of Afrobeats’ most recognisable guitar work, Nigerian musician Fiokee steps forward again with “Big Flex”, extending a productive stretch of releases in 2026.
The single comes after “Ukebe”, released in July, and continues the steady expansion of Fiokee’s catalogue as a recording artist beyond the session work and collaborations that first built his reputation.
Musically, the release sits within the contemporary Afrobeats space where his melodic instincts and guitar-led identity have long been important parts of his work. The presentation keeps the focus on a direct, accessible record rather than an overly elaborate arrangement.
With years of recognised contributions across Nigerian pop behind him, Fiokee already has an audience familiar with his distinctive musicianship. The track has also begun appearing among newly curated African releases, giving it useful early visibility.
