Joe Aribo Opens Europa League Goal Account In Belgium

The Nigerian international scored four times in Europe for the Gers last term and it has taken him six appearances this year to find the back of the net

Joe Aribo has given Rangers the lead in their Europa League clash against Antwerp at the Bosuilstadion on Thursday night.

In what is the first UEFA Europa League meeting between the two clubs, Rangers took the lead in the 38th minute when Aribo smashed an Alfredo Morelos pass into the back of the net.

It is the Super Eagles star’s first goal on the continent this season in six matches, having recorded four goals in 15 games last campaign.

The Gers’ joy was short-lived, however, as Antwerp equalized through Felipe Avenatti on the stroke of halftime as the two teams went into the break on levelled terms.

More details shortly.
