Bundesliga: Emmanuel Dennis Helps Cologne Halt Losing Run

Substitute Emmanuel Dennis provided an assist as Cologne forced Werder Bremen to a 1-1 draw in a Bundesliga matchday 24 fixture played at the RheinEnergie Stadion.

Dennis, a January transfer loan signing from Club Brugge, watched from the bench as the two sides battled to a scoreless first-half, only for the visitors to take the lead shortly after the hour-mark through Joshua Sargent.

But manager Markus Gisdol introduced Dennis in place of Ondrej Duda in the 71st-minute to boost his side’s attacking options.

And it paid off 12 minutes later when the Nigerian attacker found space in the opposition box to lay it on a plate for the Jonas Hector to bang in the equaliser for the home side.
