The massive leakage of the roof at the Senate Sacred Chamber has disrupted activity in the nation’s capital, Abuja, on Tuesday morning.
Senators who were already in the chamber were obliged to leave and speak in groups as a result of the development.
Staff from the National Assembly have started packing the water with buckets and packers in the last few minutes, and the entire environment, including the fora, is now coated in water.
Senators who arrived later, while the building was still flooded, had to pass through the House of Representatives.
