Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has said that the club want forward, Christopher Nkunku, to stay at the club beyond the January transfer window.

Nkunku has been linked with a move away from Chelsea in the January transfer window.

Chelsea’s Premier League rival Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the Frenchman.

Nkunku is behind the likes of Nicolas Jackson in Maresca’s choice of attackers at Chelsea.

The 27-year-old is yet to establish himself in Maresca’s starting XI so far this season.

Speaking about Nkunku’s future with Chelsea ahead of their Premier League tie with Fulham on Boxing Day, Maresca said at his pre-match interview: “We like Christo and we want him here.

“There will always be players that are not happy and some that will ask to leave in January.

“I am not sure if that will be Christo’s or another player’s case. We want to keep them here.”
