Following their appearance together on “B4 B4”, Nigerian singers FOLA and Davido reunite for “2am in toronto”, a collaboration included on the 2026 album 9.
Their earlier recording, which also featured Mayorkun, appeared on Davido’s Oriadé album in July. During the project’s promotion, Davido acknowledged FOLA as one of the emerging performers contributing to the next generation of Nigerian Afrobeats.
The collaboration brings together performers from different stages of the genre’s development. Davido has spent more than a decade building an international career, while FOLA represents a newer generation whose songwriting draws on Afropop, contemporary R&B and Yoruba expressions.
The commercial success of “B4 B4”, including its number-one position on Nigeria’s official singles chart, provides an established audience for their reunion. It also strengthens the significance of the collaboration within FOLA’s expanding catalogue.
