“Joy Giver” marks another collaboration in the growing catalogue of Nigerian indigenous rapper Zoro Swagbag, who features renowned Afrobeats singer Teni on the new release.
The collaboration brings Zoro’s established Igbo rap background into contact with Teni’s melodic approach to Afrobeats. Following his earlier single “Settings”, the rapper continues exploring different musical partnerships, this time working with a vocalist recognised for her expressive singing and accessible songwriting.
The recording draws from the contemporary Nigerian music scene, where indigenous rap and Afrobeats frequently intersect. With Zoro handling the lead performance and Teni contributing as a guest vocalist, the song brings together two contrasting musical identities within one collaboration.
Zoro has built a substantial catalogue through indigenous rap releases, including collaborations that helped introduce his music to audiences beyond southeastern Nigeria. His continuing activity in 2026 reflects an established career, while this latest partnership could attract listeners who enjoy both Igbo rap and mainstream Afrobeats.
