Benin Republic will take on Senegal in one of the quarter-final clashes at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

The Squirrels dumped out one of the pre-tournament favourites Morocco on penalties.

The game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes, with Hakim Ziyech missing from the spot to seal victory.

Morocco went on to miss two kicks during the shoot-out, losing 4-1 to the West African side.

In the other Round of 16 tie on Friday, Senegal could only manage a narrow 1-0 win over Uganda.

Sadio Mane scored the only goal of the match early in the first half.
